About our Founder
After graduating from Fordham’s College of Business Administration at Rose Hill in 1994 with a BS in Marketing, Anthony began a successful sales career in telecommunications working for NYNEX, now Verizon Communications. After Verizon, he worked for then start-up CLEC, Time Warner Telecom and then pursued an opportunity with then start-up Level 3 Communications. At Level 3, he was a top salesperson who worked with many start-up internet companies during the height of the internet boom of the late 90’s.

In December, 2006, Anthony received his MBA in Marketing and Management with a designation in Entrepreneurship from Fordham University. Most recently, he left his day job at British Telecom to pursue his dream of becoming an internet entrepreneur. Thus, neighborbee was born and with the help of Fordham University, will bring neighborhoods online to improve the lifestyles of members of the community and improve communities at large.

While in graduate school, Anthony founded the Fordham Entrepreneur Society in 2004 and currently remains active within the Fordham community. He also sits on the Dean’s Panel for Entrepreneurship at Fordham’s Graduate School of Business.

About our Co-Founder, Carl

Carl is a classically trained fine artist with a background in traditional oil paint and modernist sculpture. His work has been exhibited from New York to Boston and hangs in private collections internationally. Over the past decade, Carl has specialized in digital media. In addition to providing creative and design direction on branding and marketing materials for the organization, globally, he has shaped the Standard & Poor’s website and the website user experience as well as winning a Web Award for institutional. This is in addition to overseeing a team of designers within the brand management and marketing department.

In 2004 Carl partnered to form In The Round, a design and branding firm focused on the entrepreneur and start-up companies. Since then In The Round has had the privilege of helping to establish some very fine small brands and has won two Graphic Design awards.

About our Marketing Guru, Dr. Bee

Dr. Janet Di Lorenzo, a graduate of Columbia University, has been involved in marketing for the last 30 years. As an Assistant Professor of Marketing for both St.John’s University and currently for Fordham University for a collective 23 years, she has taught various marketing courses which include Entrepreneurship, Global Marketing, Advertising and Promotion, and Marketing Management. As a co-founder of the Fordham University College of Business Study Abroad Program she has traveled extensively to such countries as China, Japan, South America, and Europe participating in on site visits to global marketers. In addition, Dr. Di Lorenzo was recently selected by Businessweek in a national survey as one of the Top Favorite Business Professors in the United States.

Dr. Di Lorenzo also has a wealth of corporate experience working full time for such organizations as Lord & Taylor, Mobil Oil Corp. and Dale Carnegie. She was President of her own marketing consulting group which focused on market strategy, and promotional planning. Dr. Di Lorenzo has consulted for such companies as Ralph Lauren, Time Warner/Money Magazine, and Canon.
