Hello there all you neighborbees.. This is Alexis signing in, and I’m back to share with you some noteworthy things going on in and around my neighborhood. Some other things besides restaurant reviews that you will see on this blog are reviews of bands, shows, etc. I love to go see live music, comedy shows, etc. and it’s been a busy month for me. I think I’ve been to 4 shows in the past two weeks.

So, one of my favorite venues these days is Highline Ballroom. They have general admission, but a big plus is they have tables where you can sit, enjoy a great view, and order food and drinks. They have some decent fare on their menu like popcorn with truffle butter and sliders, a personal fave. It’s great because inevitably you end up waiting an hour or so for the opening band to do their thing, set up, etc, before the actual band you’re there to see comes out. My advice is to get there early and snag the first table on the right in front of the stage right next to the DJ turntables. Some of my all time favorite shows have been there: KT Tunstall and SIA.
