The Paulinator: Booty Call

As much as I boast about an active, healthy sex life, I have never been as in control of it as I was this past weekend. Occasionally, I will have a drink, or two, or several and become a little freer with my body, but this weekend, as I was in the middle of packing for my upcoming move, I got the itch. I figured there were two options and I was totally sick of playing it solo, so I bit the bullet and sent a text to a guy I hooked up with in the neighborhood. All it said was, “I’m horny, are you around?” It was definitely a booty text and I was not ashamed of it either.

On the quick block and a half walk to my booty text’s apartment, I began to think of all the guys I’ve hooked up with on several occasions. This gentleman was about to get his fourth turn, which is three less than the guy who stands at the top. I’ve never been in a serious relationship, so multiple rolls in the hay aren’t as frequent as if I was committed to someone on a regular basis. Variety is the spice of life right? Well, Mr. Seven Times is an entirely different blog entry, centering around hook-ups on work travels.

So, as I walked to his apartment, I thought back to the guy I lost my virginity to. We hooked up a total of five times, three of which were in my NYC dormitory, which was scandalous to say the least. But, back to the present… my afternoon booty text fulfilled its purpose and at the end of the day, it was simply meaningless sex. We finished up and as his back was turned, I grabbed my pants and got dressed. Just as I was not subtle about the purpose for my visit, my exit was not subtle either and I could see in his face that he totally understood he was being used. Honestly, as bitchy as it sounds, it felt great to be that in control of the situation! I felt like I was in control, until I got back to my apartment and looked at the email I had received…

The guy I lost my virginity to, someone I actually hadn’t thought of in years, had just e-mailed me! The question now remains, do I reply or simply ignore? What would you do, if you could go back and sleep with the person that started it all, would you? Well, we’ll soon find out.
