Daily Buzz Special Edition: Brooklyn Bridge Turns 125! |

It’s Memorial Day this weekend, and while many of you will be heading to the Jersey Shore, the Hamptons or other beachy destinations, we at neighborbeeblog wanted to make sure that those of you who were staying here were properly entertained. Fortunately for you, this weekend is the Brooklyn Bridge’s 125th birthday, and there are a ton of Brooklyn and bridge-themed activities for everyone! Friday, May 23
Brooklyn Bridge Film Series: open-air showing of Walt Disney Pictures’ Enchanted (2007; rated PG), a modern-day fairy tale set in Manhattan. Empire - Fulton Ferry State Park. Doors open at 6PM, film starts at 8:30PM.
Saturday, May 24
Brooklyn Bridge Film Series at BAM: Ken Burns’ documentary Brooklyn Bridge (1981). BAM, 30 Lafayette Avenue, 4:30PM.
It Happened in Brooklyn (1947) starring Frank Sinatra. Empire-Fulton Ferry State Park, film begins at 8:30PM
Brooklyn Icons Mini-Golf: play mini golf on a course that features Brooklyn Bridge, Grand Army Plaza and KeySpan Park. 1-5 on Saturday and Sunday at Empire-Fulton Ferry State Park. For more information, go to visitbrooklyn.org or call 718-802-3846.
Brooklyn Bridge Walking Tour: Brooklyn’s official historian Ron Schweiger, will give a tour of the Brooklyn Bridge at 11am. Free. Meet at Manhattan-side arch of the Brooklyn Bridge. Call 718-802-3846 for more information.
Sunday, May 25
Tour de Brooklyn: 2,000 bicyclists will ride all around Brooklyn in this leisurely 19-mile tour
